Dr. Cerrone’s passion for horses began at an early age while growing up in New York, where she spent her days riding hunter/jumpers and enjoyed long hours at the barn. This early love for equines led her to pursue a degree in Animal and Equine Science at Pennsylvania State University.
While at Penn State, she was introduced to the University of Glasgow during her large animal courses — an opportunity that sparked her interest in studying abroad. In 2020, she moved to Scotland to attend the University of Glasgow School of Veterinary Medicine, where she earned her veterinary degree five years later. During her time there, she developed a strong interest in equine reproduction and gained hands-on experience working with the reproduction team at the university’s equine hospital.
In 2023, inspired by her growing passion for reproductive medicine, Dr. Cerrone founded her own equine veterinary business — a lifelong dream turned reality.
Following graduation, Dr. Cerrone returned to the United States to complete a rigorous one-year rotating internship at the Equine Medical Center of Ocala in Florida. There, she trained under board-certified surgeons, internists, and theriogenologists, further refining her skills to become a well-rounded equine practitioner.
Dr. Cerrone is committed to providing high quality, compassionate reproductive care to mares and foals blending modern veterinary knowledge with her deep rooted dedication to the equine industry.
